Welcome to Alcester U3A

U3A (University of the Third Age) is a UK movement of retired and semi-retired people who come together to continue their educational, social and creative interests in a friendly and informal environment.  (There are also U3A organisations in other countries around the world.)

Alcester U3A was set up in 1992 and now has over 200 members. It was the first of five local U3As covering South Warwickshire, and has established a reputation for being friendly and welcoming. Anyone not in full-time work and living within easy reach of Alcester may join. The subscription is £15 renewable in January each year. A reduced rate is offered to those joining later in the year; (see membership page for details).

We meet monthly, on the first Tuesday of each month, at 2.30pm at the Eric Payne Community Centre in Alcester. We have a guest speaker and the afternoon concludes with tea/coffee and biscuits. Visitors are welcome to attend at a charge of £2.00. Our programme for 2020 can be seen on the Monthly Speakers page.

There are also a variety of interest groups to join and other activities including theatre visits and coach trips.
